More Art at Home Grades 3-5

Grade 3, 4 and 5:

Many of you have started our most recent project which is an optical illusion using lines.  Do you remember it?  We used sharpie to make "tubes" which looked 3D?   Even if you haven't started that lesson yet, you can check out the link below to learn about the artist Bridget Riley, she uses lines to make optical illusions that look like they're moving!

Project #1:  Click the link to learn about Bridget Riley's art.  Then use a pencil, a marker, a crayon, whatever you have, to try and make art in her style.  You can draw on paper, on the back of some cardboard, whatever you have around.  Have fun with this!

Project #2:  Use the link below, to take the quiz and find out which famous artist would be most likely to design your room.
Who Would Design Your Room?

Next, use whatever art materials you have to design your dream bedroom.  Many of you did a project like this last year, so now's your chance to add even more of your amazing ideas.

If you'd like, you can photograph your artwork and email it to me at mgoldman@longmeadow.k12.ma.us and I'll post in on the Center School Art Blog!
