Peace Word Paintings

Students began this project by learning about the complementary colors (colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel).  They brainstormed "peace" or "peacebuilder" words, or words that make them think about feeling at peace.  The challenge was keeping the words 5 letters or less!  The results are really amazing!

Peace Word Paintings

Students brainstormed words that represent the feeling of peace, and created a word painting using complementary colors.  They used a previously made "complementary color spinner" to help remind them what colors to use.  They are in-process, but coming out great!
