Texture Owls by Grade 1

First grades sculpted great horned owls using clay, and covered them with texture.  Our texture tools included Legos, screws, buttons, bottle caps and popsicle sticks amongst other found objects.

Clay Picture Frames by Grade 2

These picture frames made from self-hardening clay are the perfect size for a miniature drawing!

Pattern Bead Necklaces by Grade 1

We made the texture on the pendant by pressing the clay into our shoes - what a cool way to add texture and designs to clay!!

Open House/Peacebuilders Chalk Art - Gr. 3 and 4

Some third and fourth grade classes helped decorate the front walkway with welcoming Peacebuilder messages for Open House tonight!

Hand Explosions! By Grades 1 - 5

Inspired by our summer reading book, The Trumpet of the Swan, we brainstormed many various character traits of Louis the Swan and other characters from the book.  Students created a hand using a positive character trait that describes themselves.

Multi-media Swans by Gr. K

Our first project was inspired by our summer community reading book, The Trumpet of the Swan by E.B. White.  Kindergarteners drew ovals, triangles and curves, and used construction paper, tissue paper, as well as construction paper crayons.

Peacebuilder Rocks by Grade 5

Decorated with symbols that represent peace, these rocks look so bright and inviting at the entrance to the school!
