First graders learned one way to make a 3D sculpture out of two flat pieces of paper. They used a watercolor resist, and warm and cool colors to paint their fish.
Thanks Morgan! I do not have a lesson plan, since I've been doing this lesson for so long. I have them trace two "fish tracers", then cut out each and decorate. Next class they paint, one side warm colors, the other side cool colors. Last steps are to stuff with newsprint and staple around the edges, so you end up with each painting as one side of the whole fish. Good luck! -margaret
Love it! Do you have a lesson plan for this? What are the steps for this lesson and what did you stuff them with?
