Calder Mobiles by Grade 3

Spiral mobiles inspired by Alexander Calder.  We started this lesson by using the great MoMA Art Lab ipad app to play around with balancing virtual mobiles.

Paper Weavings by Grade 3

Third grade students created two abstract paintings, and then combined them to create these fabulous paper weavings.





Winter Landscapes by Gr. 5

Watercolor birch tree landscapes by Grade 5.  Fifth graders learned watercolor techniques like adding salt for texture, and used shadows and shading to make their paintings realistic.




Radial Designs by Grade 2


After learning about radial designs and all the places they appear in nature (flowers, spider webs, snowflakes...!), second graders created these designs using wood shapes and water color paints.
