UpCycled Masks by Grade 1
Why throw something away when you can make it into something so much better? That's the idea behind "upcycling." First graders viewed and discussed images of "Broken Dishes" quilts. They created their own paper quilt square by cutting squares into triangles and gluing them down in the "Broken Dishes" pattern.
Primary Pops by Kindergarten
Kindergartners made two paintings, one using the primaries and one mixing the primaries to make the secondaries. Once dry, the two paintings were combined to create these tasty looking collages.
Paper Weavings By Grade 3
Third graders created two contrasting paintings and then interwove them to create these paper weavings. I love how vibrant they look as well as the contrast between the black and white painted paper and the colored painted paper.
