Fifth graders photographed a still life using the iPad. They then used the iPad drawing app, Sketchbook Express to turn the photograph into an amazing contour line drawing.

Color Wheel Flowers by Grade 2
Second graders have been exploring the color wheel and learned about Primary, Secondary, and Intermediate Colors. They created these color wheel flowers by painting with the Primaries (Red, Yellow, Blue), and then mixing both the Secondaries (Green, Purple, Orange) and Intermediates (Yellow-Green, Blue-Violet, Red-Orange, etc). They came out fantastic, and show what a great understanding of the color wheel these students have gained.
Flower Paintings by Kindergarten
Kindergartners viewed and discussed the work of Georgia O'Keeffe before embarking on these paintings. They filled each flower petal with a different type of line, traced with oil pastel, and painted with vibrant watercolors.
Exit Tickets
Fifth graders filled out these exit tickets upon completing their iPad contour line drawings. It's a great way to get a quick sense of what they learned.
