Fauvist Landscapes by Grade 2
Second graders learned about Henri Matisse and the art movement called Fauvism. These artists were called the Fauves or the "Wild Beasts" because of the wild, bright, bold and unusual colors they used. You might see a purple lake, a yellow sky, or orange clouds.
Second graders created these oil pastel landscapes in the style of the Fauves.
