Coil Pots by Grade 3
Third graders learned all about rolling coils and attaching clay, as well as glazing, in order to create these fantastic coil pots.
Fancy Coil Pots by Grade 5
These advanced coil pots by fifth graders came out stunning! In addition to coils, they include swirls, squiggles, circles, and more...
Pinch Pot Pets by Grade 2
Second graders made pinch pots out of Model Magic, and then added all of their details like tails, wings, legs and noses, to create their unique "pet".
Pinch Pot Monsters by Grade 3
These adorable creatures were made by third graders. They started by molding pinch pots out of clay, and then used scratch and slip clay attachment techniques to add horns, eyeballs, tongues and tails… Once fired in the kiln, they were painted with bright tempera paints.

Whiteboards in the Meeting Area
Fourth graders got to test out our new mini whiteboards this week. They watched a YouTube video on drawing a castle, and drew along with the instructions. Next they'll put their practice to work by creating a castle out of clay.
Pattern Necklaces by Grade 1
This clay lesson is a favorite of mine. First graders molded one pendant and 6 beads out of clay, creating shapes like squares, circles and ovals. They painted the beads with vibrant watercolors, and then strung them on a necklace in a creative pattern. Look at these proud faces!
